What
are the age groups? Is my child too young or too old to play?
Kids between the ages of 4 and 17 can play as long as their
birth date is onor before July 31 of this year.
For
example, if your child turns 4 after 7/31, he or she would
be too young. If you child turns 17 after 7/31 he or she
would be too old.
U6
covers 4&5 year olds. U8 is 6&7 U10 is 8&9
U12 is 10 & 11, U14 is 12&13 U18 is 14,15,16,17
all with birth dates on or before 7/31.
The chart below may help you determine your childs age group.
Find the year and month your child was born, the point at
which they meet is your age group.
In
the Grand Terrace Community Soccer Club, everybody plays,
try-outs are a tool we use to make the teams more evenly
matched
If
your child did not play the previous year he or she will
be required to try-out. Their skill level and age are input
into a computer program that attempts to place the same
variety of skill levels in each team of a particular age
group. If you played the previous year, your skill level
was rated by your coach and will be used for selecting teams
this year.
